When purchasing items from our website, please consider the following.

All items are unique.  Therefore, although we will endeavour to photograph all new items which come into the gallery, please be advised that in some cases (ie. ceramics) items may not be absolutely identical to that shown in the image.

Although we do try our hardest to represent art work reliably through the images on this site, please be aware that the colours may not be completely accurate at all times, and may vary depending upon the computer they are viewed on.

Descriptions for each item have been given as accurately as possible.  Dimensions given are approximates.

Paintings are framed (unless otherwise stated) and the price will include this framing.  If the customer would like to view the frames, please contact the gallery where a member of staff can help you.

Most paintings can be sold as unframed at the artist's discretion, for a reduced price.  Please contact the gallery if this is of interest.

We cannot be held responsible if an item sells in the gallery and on the gallery website simultaneously.  In this instance, the customer who purchases something in the gallery will take priority. In the unlikely event of this occuring, we will contact the online customer to notify them of this, and will arrange a refund.

All prices for postage and packaging will vary depending on the item/s being sent.  Most items (including paintings) will carry a price for p&p based upon its weight, size and worth.  If the work is too large, heavy or fragile for standard posting methods, there will be no 'add to cart' option.  In this case, please contact us so that we can endeavour to find the best way of shipping an item to you.  In some cases (ie. furniture) it may not be possible for us to arrange a suitable means of shipping, so although we will try to come up with a solution, we cannot be held responsible should this not be possible.

All postage costs included are for UK addresses only.  For any international postage, please contact the gallery where a member of staff can establish shipping costs.

Work can be purchased online with the option of collecting in person, should the customer prefer.  This will be offered as an option at the online checkout, and will negate the cost of delivery.

VAT is included in all prices.  This does not apply for overseas customers, who will need to arrange their own tax, customs and duties.

Title to the work purchased will go to the customer upon full payment.

Once the work has been collected by or delivered to the customer, it is then the customers full responsibility.

Copyright.  Rights to an image will lie with the artist or the artist's estate, and therefore the image cannot be used for commercial purposes.

Gift Vouchers must be redeemed from the gallery within a 12 month period from when purchased.

Using the website to make a purchase.

We have employed several different online payment options.

Paypal for taking online credit and debit card. Once the purchase has been made, the customer will recieve an email from Paypal  to confirm this.  Any refunds will be made through Paypal.

Direct bank transfers, enabling customers to pay directly into our account

Pay by Finance - soon to be launched, this will allow customers to apply for Own Art interest free loans online

We will endeavour to dispatch your purchase within 1 working day, but please allow for 3.5 working days.  If there is any delay with this, we will contact the customer to inform them of this.

Alternative payment methods.

We are happy to take any payments with credit cards over the phone if the customer wishes.  We take all major credit cards apart from American Express and Amex.  You can contact staff at the gallery on +44(0)1557 330223.

A cheque can be made payable to The Whitehouse Gallery.

All payments need to be made in pounds Sterling.

Money back guarantee

Refunds or exchanges can be given for any item purchased, with the exclusion of earrings, so long as we are notified within 7 days following receipt of the item, and that the item is returned within 14 days. Contact us on +44(0)1557 330223 or info@whitehousegallery.com. The gallery will refund the postage & packaging costs of returned goods, but will not pay for outgoing postage should the customer wish to exchange for another item.  Conditions of returns are that the items and packaging are in the same condition as when purchased, and that there is a receipt of purchase.  If the work has been damaged during transit, a claim will be made with the relevant courier against the insurance paid for when shipping the work. Please check all items upon delivery, and report any damage to us immediately.
