Anniversary Exhibition

The Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkcudbright is delighted to celebrate their twentieth year in business, with a very special anniversary exhibition.

‘Twenty Years’ will open on Saturday 29th June for the preview, doors open from 11am – 5pm.  Following this, the exhibition will be open as normal, Mon-Sat 10am – 4pm, until Saturday 31st August.

Originally opened in 2004, what began as a small independent art gallery in the remote corner of SW Scotland has grown into one of Scotland’s most exciting contemporary galleries.

This exhibition features work from Twenty Fine Artists who have helped shape the gallery into what it is today, ranging from longstanding exhibitors to more recent additions to the roster. As always, there will also be brand new collections of Sculpture and Applied Craft.

‘Twenty Years’ illustrates our love of merging different styles and mediums, with a mix of land and seascapes, abstract, still life and figurative works.

Artists include Andy Cross, Corine Ko, Erraid Gaskell, Ewan McClure, Fee Dickson Reid, Garry Harper, Gordon Wilson, Heather Davies RSW, Helen Tabor, Ian McWhinnie, Jackie Henderson, Jenny Matthews RSW, Joyce Gunn Cairns MBE, Kate Bentley RI SWA, Margaret Evans, Marion Drummond PAI, Morag Muir RSW PAI, Nicola Wakeling, Rosanne Barr and Tricia Barna.

We are also looking forward to new collections of glass from Amanda Simmons and Loco Glass; mosaics from Amanda Anderson and Morag Archer; ceramics by Chris Taylor, Elaine Brett, Helen Harrison, Michelle Lowe, Natalie Bell, Pauline Montgomery and Sandie Cosens; stone sculpture by Rowena Beaty; upcycled sculpture by Vicky Swift; jewellery and glass by Katy Quinn; jewellery by Hannah Duncan and textiles by Jo Gallant.
