DONATE £10 to our chosen Charity MOOL

Be in with a chance of winning this original oil painting by the highly collectable Scottish artist

The Winner Will be Selected on Friday 20th May

A month or so ago, one of our customers did the most amazing thing.

A big fan of Joyce Gunn Cairns MBE, he purchased one of Joyce’s paintings then asked that this painting be auctioned for our next fundraiser. New to Kirkcudbright, the family felt so warmly welcomed and supported since their arrival, they felt inspired to support others less fortunate. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed by this wonderful act of kindness, as was Joyce.

So we are in the very lucky position to be able to offer this beautiful and poignant original oil painting, ‘Woman with Dove’, as our next fundraiser prize.

Joyce Gunn Cairns is one of Scotland’s most cherished artists, with works in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, and is highly regarded in her field. You can read more about the artist here. ‘Woman and Dove’ is framed, 48w x 70h cm and is oil on board.

To collectively show our support and raise funds for refugees and their hosts. This includes Ukrainian refugees, but money raised will also help displaced people worldwide.

  1. Click on the button at the footer of this page, which will take you through to a donation page. We have asked for £10, but you are very welcome to donate more if you wish.
  2. You will then be automatically entered into the draw. Your entry will be given a number based on the order the donations have been received. We will use a random number generator to pick the winner on Friday 20th May, and the winner will be announced on social media (and contacted).

Massive Outpouring of Love was set up to help displaced people wherever they are in the world.  We were formally registered as a charity (SC046366) in 2016 and since then we’ve been sending donated aid to Lebanon, Lesvos and Northern France.

We are working closely with frontline groups in the area and are being very careful to take only what is wanted by them.  We’re also making sure that anything we send is properly sorted and packed to be useful at the far end.

You can find out more about MOOL at – we have a range of activities to help promote people’s understanding of the situation facing refugees and to welcome those who come to Dumfries and Galloway to make it their new home.  We also have a facebook page

By donating £10 you will be automatically entered into a draw. We will select a winner by random on Friday 20th May

We are very sorry, but the Prize Draw is for UK residents only.
