David Boyne attended St Martins School of Art in London during the 1980s, receiving a First Class Honours. Since graduating, Boyne established himself as a self-employed artist, exploring a number of mediums including ceramics, painting and printmaking.
Boyne was a Young Artist Award finalist in 1990, for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters at The Mall in London, and went onto exhibit at a number of galleries in and around London, including the Royal Academy in London,
Boyne moved to Dumfries & Galloway in the 1990s, becoming artist in residence at Dalbeattie High School, as well as D&G Adult Education Pottery Tutor and teaching pottery in the Headway House Day Centre, Dumfries.
Since then, he has exhibited in a wide range of galleries over the years and across the country, including Richard DeMarco Gallery, Edinburgh; McLellan’s Galleries in Glasgow, Visual Arts Scotland, Gracefield Arts Centre to name a few.
David Boyne will be giving us a small selection of his prints for this exhibition.
