Art has been a personal journey for me and after a number of jobs including 15yrs of nursing, Art College beckoned.
Having graduated in 2000 with a B.A. Hons in Fine Art printmaking, I went on to work with adults and children in a number of different art projects until 2008 when I became a full time artist/painter.
During that time I came to realize that art and the arts are closely linked to the “healing” process within. And that is whether you paint, sing, dance, write or make and or listen to music.
It is no surprise or accident that I paint landscape, and mostly Scotland..for now, as I love Scotland with a passion. The colours, the textures, the land, the waters and of course the weather! I love the atmospheric effects of the ever changing weather!
I hope that my love of Scotland and our great home Earth shows in my work, as I also hope that whoever is attracted to the paintings, for whatever reason, be it the colours, the texture or indeed the place, may they also feel that love and appreciation for our great, beautiful and fragile land.
