Name: Jennie Ashmore

Medium:Mixed Media

Leafworks are original collages of leaves and flowers created using materials found in woodlands & gardens.

‘Recent Leaf works have been made using plant materials mostly from my garden in Auchencairn .This summer was especially good for colour and the work reflects this and links well with the Kaleidoscope theme. Some of the new work also demonstrates a gradual moving away from rigid geometry to a more open use of the medium.’

Jennie Ashmore studied painting and printmaking at Exeter University and after many years of teaching art, changed direction and worked in countryside skills and gardening in order to work outdoors.
