I graduated from Glasgow School of Art with an honours degree in Design in 1987 and spent a further year studying for a Diploma in Postgraduate Studies in Jewellery and Silversmithing. Thereafter I moved to London to gain valuable working experience with a design and manufacturing jewellery company, following this with a year in Australia where I worked for a commercial jewellers.
In 1991 I moved back to Galloway in South West Scotland where I created my own business making jewellery to my own designs, running training workshops, teaching and completing private commissions. I have participated in many exhibitions and my work was widely available throughout the UK.
In 2008 I relocated to South-West France with my husband Pete who designs and makes contemporary furniture.
The inspiration for my work comes from the environment that surrounds us and the natural world we live in, our travels and experiences.
