Edinburgh Art Fair 2018

We’re just back from a successful EAF2018!  Exhausted, but pleased with the event. It’s pretty frantic – arrive, set up, preview, open to public, enter thousands of art lovers, keep going until Sunday evening and then take it all down, go home and unload.  Phew.

We can take a lot away from our experience this year;  we met thousands of art lovers, we made some good sales, we caught up with some of our lovely artists and other gallery owners and we saw new artists whose work we liked. It’s a great opportunity to bring a little slice of the Whitehouse to Edinburgh – admittedly not always the easiest thing to do with a very limited space, but we think we managed to give a taster of who we are and what we are about.

As we are tucked away in rural Dumfries & Galloway, we love being in the city for a few days too. When we’re not too exhausted after a day on our feet, we enjoyed soaking up the sights and sounds (and food) of Edinburgh in the evening. Always a treat for us!

The Art Fairs do take up such a lot of our time and energy, but they are always such a rewarding process.
