BEYOND THE CANVAS

26th April – 21st June 2025

We are excited to announce our second exhibition of the year, ‘Beyond the Canvas’. This exhibition invites the viewer to consider their own narrative with the works. Whether it be on canvas, board or paper, depicting sea and landscapes to interior or still life, each work has its own story to tell.

The Preview Opening for “Beyond the Canvas” will take place on Saturday 26th April from 11am till 5pm. Please join us to view the exhibition on its opening day, with complimentary refreshments and chocolates on offer. All are welcome!

We are delighted to see the return of artist Liz Mackay DA, after a significant hiatus from the art world. Liz’s daughter curated a wonderful selection of Liz’s exquisite still life and landscape paintings for a retrospective at the Maclaurin Galleries in Ayr late last year. We are thrilled to be able to include some of these paintings in our exhibition, to celebrate a wonderful artist who we were honoured to represent for many years.

Alongside Liz, we are introducing new collections from a selected group of returning and new artists: Ben Brotherton, Clare Flinn, Ian McWhinnie, Ian Rawnsley, Jennifer Guest, Jenny Martin RSW, John Mclenaghen, Jonathan Stockley, Joyce Gunn Cairns, Kate Bentley RI RSW, Lindsay Turk, Madeleine Gardiner, Mairi Stewart, Margaret Evans, Patricia Sadler, Sandra Moffat and Sheryl Roberts.

We also look forward to receiving brand new collections of ceramics from Chris Taylor, Denise Brown, Heather Armstrong, Helen Kemp, Sarah Piper & Shirley Vauvelle.
