Posting Artwork
We have put a lot of effort into building up our online shop over the years, mainly because we are in quite a rural location, so there are times of the year when we can’t rely solely on footfall into the gallery. When the pandemic hit, this meant we were ready to go 100% online, and this side of the business grew quite rapidly during this period. We can now confidently say that online is a very big part of our day to day business, and we are extremely thankful for our customers across the UK who put faith in us when they make a purchase.
The bonus of buying from us, is that we are there to help you every step of the way with your purchase. If a customer isn’t sure from the images on the website alone, we will take more photo’s of something or even arrange a video call so that we can show them the artwork in the best light possible. We are there to answer questions during our opening hours by phone or by email, unlike some of the large corporate companies where it is almost impossible to speak to someone other than a robot.
If a customer wants to buy an item, they can either purchase it online, or pay over the phone by card if that’s preferable. We are now set up online with Own Art, which means you can also apply for an interest free loan from the comfort of your own home for all works between £100-£2500. Postage is free for anything over £100 (unless it requires a specialist courier, due to the size, value or fragility of the piece, in which case we obtain a quote.) We then take great care to wrap artwork professionally, and aim to get it to you as quickly and safely as possible.
If you would like to enquire about purchasing something from our website, feel free to contact Lynne, Lotte or Laura on 01557 330223 or info@whitehousegallery.co.uk. Please note that online purchases are for UK residents only, please contact us to obtain a shipping quote for anything outside of the UK. We regret that we can no longer post works to Europe.
KIND WORDS FROM OUR CUSTOMERS
Here are a few recent emails from satisfied customers:
‘The picture has arrived and it is even more lovely than the online views suggested. It is a 60th birthday present for my husband, he is very pleased with his surprise gift. Many thanks for your help and excellent communication.’
‘Just a little email but a big thank you for sending my parcel so quickly, and for your excellent customer service. My parcel was so well wrapped, and I’m delighted with my new ceramic hare’.
‘ I just wanted to let you know that my beautiful little bird sculpture arrived safely today. It was very neatly packaged and having examined it, I’m not sure I have managed to replicate how well you wrapped it as I re-packaged it ready for gifting to my sister on Christmas Day! Thank you for posting it so swiftly.’
‘ received the painting I had been in contact with you about. Thank you very much for packing it so well…I opened it tonight to look at it & I know she will be over the moon with it on Xmas day & so surprised also, many thanks again’
‘Thank you, the piece is absolutely perfect. We both appreciate it as being beyond our expectations. Not something that occurs, very often, in our perception. Liz at the gallery shipped it straight to us and as you can see, it now sits in pride of place.’
‘Thank you – the birds are wonderful and were wrapped very well but in such a logical way that they were no problem at all to unwrap! Many thanks for all your efforts and for stocking such lovely pieces.’
‘Artwork received, and it looks spectacular! Now just to decide the best place for it. Thank you for all your help.’
‘I appreciate the care that you take when an item is being sent by post as I feel this reflects the respect you have for the artist or creator as well as for the piece, which does not come as a surprise.
