Heather Davies

Heather studied Fine Art, Printmaking and Textiles before becoming a full-time painter.

Landscape had always been inspirational, particularly the Scottish coast and it’s Islands.

Watercolour was the perfect choice for working out of doors to capture the changing weather conditions. Heather says her head is filled with images from painting outdoors in these intriguing places, and although she now works mainly from her imagination they still play an important part.

Much of her time is now spent in the studio working from her imagination. Her aim; to find a balance between reality and abstraction, one that will surprise and excite.
