Jenny Martin RSW

Jenny Martin was born in 1973 and studied at the University of Edinburgh from 1991 – 1996 where she achieved an MA (Hons) in Fine Art.

From 1996 – 1998 she studied at Edinburgh College of Art studying a Postgraduate course in Painting.

Jenny has been given many prizes and awards including in 2022, when she was elected Professional Member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours.  In 2003, she won an Outstanding Print Award at the University of Aberystwyth.
In 1997, she held the John Kinross Scholarship at the Royal Scottish Academy.

Jenny’s paintings are created with the use of mixed media.  They portray delicate flowers in attractive containers, diverse patterns often showing tiles.

She paints detailed architectural forms, birds and religious images in both strong and muted colours.

Jenny is influenced by Spanish styles and architecture.
