Michael Ewart
Artist Statement
I was born in the village of Felton in Northumberland and lived there until I was married in 1966, when I moved to Ashington. I have lived here since then.
Drawing and painting have been with me all of my life and as I grew up in the countryside my first inspiration was the Northern landscape.
Having retired from teaching, I now paint full-time and my interest now lies mainly in figurative subjects showing people in everyday situations.
