Quench & Pickle

Gail McKendry graduated from Gray’s School of Art with a BA Hons in 3 Dimensional Design, and a HNC in jewellery and silversmithing.

She lives and works in Eaglesham, a village south of Glasgow.

‘My jewellery is primarily made from Sterling Silver and each piece is made completely by hand in my tiny workshop using traditional jewellers hand tools.
My jewellery is tactile, textural and usually made from multiple tiny repeat units. There’s often an element of movement in each piece as well.
Inspiration for my work comes from finding treasures on a woodland walk or garden. Beautiful and intricate seed pods, delicate flower heads, dangling catkins, clusters of berries and more. All of these offer the perfect Inspiration and reference for the jewellery I create.’ (Gail McKendry, Quench & Pickle)
