Suzan Malcolm PPAO HPAI
Flowers are a passion, and always have been.The paradox of capturing their strong
intense colour while describing their delicate transient beauty is the starting point for
most of my work . My interest lies in going beyond the observed, to also explore the
remembered and the imagined.

1976-1980 Graduated BA(Hons) Edinburgh College of Art
Career
2009 – Full time Professional Artist
2006- 2009 Associate Lecturer in Art Education, University of the West of Scotland.
1991- 2006 Head of Art and Design, Wellington School, Ayr
1980-Freelance Botanical Artist
Media
Trained in Ceramics and Woven Tapestry but works principally in watercolour, mixed
media and oil.
