Autumn's Embrace

The Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkcudbright looks forward to a new season, with the launch of a new exhibition, ‘Autumn’s Embrace’. Doors open from  7th September until 26th October.  The exhibition Preview is on Saturday 7th September, doors will open from 11am-5pm, and all are very welcome to attend.

As we wave goodbye to the long days of summer, we embrace the Autumn with open arms. From the beauty of the golden light and the changing colours of the landscape, it is also a time for rest and quiet contemplation.  This Autumn exhibition aims to capture the essence of the season, with collections of landscapes, still life, figurative/portraiture and wildlife, across a range of mediums including photography and textile art, alongside more traditional painting techniques.

Artists include: Alexandra Warren, Benedict Ramos, Gill Walton SSA, Gillian Westland, Jacqui Bassett, Jan Munro, Jane Cruickshank, Johann Booyens, Margaret Evans, Minette Bell MacDonald, Moy Mackay, Rosaline Willis and Sian Smith.
