Journeys Through Colour

As we dip our toe into Spring, The Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkcudbright opens its doors with an invitation to leave the winter behind and take a journey through colour.  The exhibition welcomes a selection of fine artists and makers, with colour being the primary focus.

‘Journeys Through Colour’ will open for the preview on Saturday 5th March, until Saturday 23rd April.

The mixed group exhibition explores the theme of colour through a range of subject matter, medium and styles. Including figurative, still life and landscape to more abstract work, the collections range from soft and gentle pastels through to vivid and energetic brights.

Including Ali Mourabet, Ann Cowan, Anne Skinner DA, Boo Mallinson, Claire Beattie, Deb Wing, Garry Harper, Heather Davies, Heather M Nisbet, Jackie Henderson, James Fraser RSW, Joyce Gunn Cairns, Julia Poulton, Margaret Evans, Margaret Kathleen Hume, Moy Mackay & Poppy Cyster.

There will also be glass by Amanda Simmons; Ceramics by Denise Brown, Edit Juhasz, Lesley Anne Green, Michelle Lowe and Pratima Kramer; Jewellery by Katy Taylor, Melissa James and Sheena McMaster; Sculpture by Lynn Muir; Textiles by Jo Gallant and Zoe Stainton and Mosaics by Morag Archer.
