About the Artist
Marion Drummond PAI is a very well established Scottish artist, with a style that is immediately recognisable as her own. An artist with natural talent who produces paintings of high consistent quality.
Marion was born Glasgow in 1958, and has lived in Scotland all her life. She likes to combine her love of hill-walking with painting al fresco, to capture life with a sense of urgency and immediacy. Self-taught, Marion works mainly in oils enjoying the intensity of working with palette knives and her fingers in her still life, landscape and portraiture.
Marion greatly admires the work of many living Scottish artists but her strongest influences she names as Stephen Carruthers, Jenny Saville and Enid Foote Watts.
