About the Artist
Charles Randak is an Edinburgh native and graduate of the Glasgow School of Art.
Charles’ dynamic painting style combines fluid brushstrokes and palette knife techniques using oils on canvas to produce striking ‘Statement Pieces.’ His work is primarily inspired by the scenic landscapes of the West Coast of Scotland, although he occasionally draws inspiration from locations further afield.
‘I aim to capture real places and moments in time – creating a window on another place which the viewer will find uplifting and will be able to return to it for a visual, mental or spiritual ‘refresh’ – especially when it is sky, sea or beaches and the combination of all three.’
