About the Artist
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Art and Design many years ago, I’ve recently returned to making art as a full-time artist following a career as a therapist and author.
My passion is drawing: The colour goes down first using coloured pencils, which are great for blending. The ink drawing goes on top, going over the line work several times, creating an image that is similar to that of a lino or wood cut.
I’m a passionate and devoted wild swimmer, which inspires me to try and capture the tranquillity and sensations of serenity and exhilaration of being in the water. Often there is a backdrop of a stunning sky. The natural landscapes around us are favourites which inspire my artwork, in particular the infinitely magnificent mountains and waters of the Lake District and Scotland.
