About the Artist
Boo’s paintings serve as a visual diary, capturing the memories and experiences of her daily walks through the landscape. As we walk, we absorb the sights, sounds, and smells that form lasting impressions of a place. Boo’s work reflects this process, drawing inspiration from the changing light, colors, and seasons encountered on these walks.
Some paintings stay close to their origins, often smaller and more spontaneous, while others evolve more slowly, building up layers and exploring abstraction. Through simplification and intuition, Boo creates pieces that balance the real with the imaginary, allowing viewers to bring their own interpretations and memories to the work.
Boo studied Fine Art in London before moving to Dorset in 2002. Her work is exhibited across the country and is held in numerous collections.
